04 · FAQ
Common questions
Q01
What counts as one credit?
Each query consumes 1–5 credits depending on depth. Light queries cost 1 credit, standard queries cost 2, and deep research queries cost 5. The query box shows the estimated cost before you submit.
Q02
What happens when I run out of credits?
The query box is blocked until your credits replenish. On the free tier, credits reset at the start of each calendar month. On the Research subscription, credits reset at the start of each billing period. Casual Pack credits never expire — they roll over until spent.
Q03
Can I cancel the Research subscription?
Yes. Cancel any time from your account settings. Your credits remain usable through the end of the current billing period. No clawback, no pro-rata penalty.
Q04
Do Research subscription credits roll over?
No. Monthly credits reset at the start of each billing period. Casual Pack credits never expire and are not affected by subscription status. If you need a large one-time top-up rather than a recurring subscription, the Casual Pack is the right option.
Q05
What are sample recipes?
Sample recipes are 5 pre-built queries that OCB runs daily and caches. They are available to all users at no credit cost — not because the queries are simple, but because the compute cost is shared across everyone who reads the result. Recipes cover sector trends, cross-instrument comparisons, anomaly patterns, and methodology sensitivity tests.
